Four-bar set of pattern bars: twill, diamond, monk’s belt, and krokbragd. Twill and diamond are beginner level, both based on a diagonal rib that creates great effects with one color of yarn by switching the direction the bar is rotated between rows. Monk’s Belt is a little more advanced, using two colors to make patterns, and is a great “level 2” bar. Krokbragd is our most advanced bar using 2 or 3 colors to create patterns, but this is still accessible to students.
All of our pattern bars use a floating selvedge, which is a way of handling the first and last warp thread of every row. It is not hard and full instructions are available in print and video form.
