The boomloom is a handheld tool that makes creating easy, intuitive, and fun. A new spin on an old design. Made of lightweight aluminum and natural maple. Great for patches, sketches, multiples. Test ideas, colors, forms, combinations.
How it works: Turn the knobs to rotate the bar, automatically moving alternate warp threads up and down. This creates a wide shed (space) to pass the weft yarn through. Hidden tabs stop the bar in the correct spot, forward and back. Slits in the end hold the warp yarn securely, so stringing the loom is quick, no fussing with knots while trying to keep the warp thread tight.
Hold it in your hands, on a table or in your lap. Use it on the sofa, on a zoom, on a train, on a plane.
